Onboarding Overview - Configuring Order Data
Overview
One of the last few steps in most, if not all, of our integrations is to configure your order data. In this article, we'll briefly go over what this entails, and why we do it.
Flagging Orders
The primary method we use to configure your order data is to "flag" your orders before sending them down to your POS system. The details for this are highly technical, to the point where we have our experienced team of developers do it, to ensure no mistakes are made. Once everything has been flagged correctly, we can proceed with your integration; this is typically one of the last steps we take before a project is finished.
We flag orders in one of three ways:
When an order is Placed
The integration picks up the order and sends it to your POS as soon as the order is submitted
Returns are not supported with this flag
When an order is Invoiced
The integration picks up the order and sends it to your POS when an order has an invoice (or payment) associated with it
Returns are supported with this flag
When the order is Shipped/Fulfilled
The integration picks up the order and sends it to your POS when the order has been shipped or fulfilled
Returns are supported with this flag
In onboarding, please select which flag type you'd like us to set. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your project manager using the messaging system.
